Our Mission:

The Biology Learning Center is dedicated to fostering academic growth by providing expert guidance, personalized support, and a collaborative learning environment that empowers students to overcome challenges and achieve excellence in their studies.

Hours of Operation and Location:

Monday- Friday, 8 am -5 pm Nursing and Instrcutional Building, NSCI room 215

The Biology Learning Center (BLC) is a specialized resource hub for students in biology and chemistry courses like BIO 111, 112, 271, 277, 315, 375, and CHE 111. Located in NSCI 215, it offers support with challenging concepts, homework, test preparation, and group study. The BLC provides a welcoming, drop-in environment with expert instructors and textbook lending to help students succeed academically

Hello, my name is Rachel, and I’m currently a senior at UNCG, majoring in Biology with a minor in Philosophy. I’ve been a BIO 111 tutor since last year, and I genuinely enjoy the role, especially when it comes to providing helpful resources and guidance to fellow students. My passion for leadership and STEM outreach has shown me how much I value helping others succeed in STEM fields. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in STEM outreach or any role that involves team building and collaboration. As STEM students, we are all part of a team, and in this rapidly advancing world, it’s more important than ever that we support each other in reaching our goals.
